Gustave Blanc, U23 road cyclist

Born in 2007 in the French Alps, Gustave Blanc comes from skiing: alpine skiing from the age of 2, then ski mountaineering with the French youth team. He started cycling in 2023 with La Motte-Servolex Cyclisme, raced as a junior with JEGG-DJR, the junior team of Visma | Lease a Bike, and joined Red Bull – BORA – hansgrohe Rookies, the development team of Red Bull – BORA – hansgrohe (UCI WorldTour), in 2026.

My story

Gustave grew up in Arêches-Beaufort, a mountain village in the French Alps, in a sporting family. He started alpine skiing at the age of 2, then took up ski mountaineering with the Club multisports Arêches-Beaufort, reaching the French youth team: he raced the U18 European Championships in 2024.

He began racing bikes at 16, in 2023, with La Motte-Servolex Cyclisme, the club where he learned to race and is still licensed. After two junior seasons with JEGG-DJR, the junior team of Visma | Lease a Bike, he joined Red Bull – BORA – hansgrohe Rookies in 2026.

His goal: turn professional, become a world-class rider and one day shine at the Tour de France.

    Alpine skiing

    On skis from the age of 2 in Arêches-Beaufort, a resort in the Beaufortain (Savoie).
  2. 2023

    La Motte-Servolex Cyclisme

    First bike races at 16 with his home club, where he is still licensed.

    French youth ski mountaineering team

    With the Club multisports Arêches-Beaufort, selected in the French U18 team for the European Championships in Flaine and Chamonix (January 2024), in the individual and vertical races.

    First junior year with the junior team of Visma | Lease a Bike: first international races, in Belgium and France.

    Second junior year with the junior team of Visma | Lease a Bike. In October, Red Bull – BORA – hansgrohe announced his move to the Rookies.

    Step up to U23 with the development team of Red Bull – BORA – hansgrohe (UCI WorldTour): racing in Italy, Spain, Belgium and France, up to the Tour de l’Avenir.
